What This Proves
The Problem
Bowling centers relied on outdated or incomplete websites that did not clearly communicate hours, pricing, league information, or promotions. The challenge was to build full websites from scratch that could serve as the primary digital hub for each center while remaining easy for customers to navigate.
The Approach
I designed and built seven bowling center websites from the ground up: Del Rio Lanes, Keystone Lanes, Cal Bowl, Westminster Lanes, Santa Clarita Lanes, Forest Lanes, and Saddleback Lanes.
Each site was structured to clearly communicate operational information including hours, bowling pricing, league schedules, Cosmic Bowling promotions, food menus, directions, and social media connections.
Marketing tools such as email and SMS club sign-ups were integrated so centers could grow customer engagement and promote events directly through their websites.
In addition to the bowling center sites, I rebuilt CaliforniaBowlingNews.com in WordPress, migrating the site from a static Dreamweaver HTML website while preserving the late publisher’s preferred editorial layout.
The Outcome
Seven bowling center websites were successfully launched, giving each location a modern digital presence with complete operational information and marketing integration. The California Bowling News website migration enabled faster publishing and easier long-term maintenance through WordPress.
Final Takeaway
Building multiple websites from scratch requires the ability to connect messaging, structure, and execution. This project demonstrated the ability to turn blank-slate concepts into fully functional digital products.
