Jad El Reda, a sports editor at Los Angeles Times en Espanol, was given a tip about a group of runners that got together on a weekly basis and went out into the community of Boyle Heights, Calif. going on different runs throughout the city’s bridges.
I was asked to film this experience for his written story. At the same time, I was given the opportunity to take still photos. The story was recorded in Spanish, with some English that I translated into Spanish through subtitles.
The photos were shot by a Canon 70D camera and edited with Adobe Photoshop. Free music was downloaded off a freeware website on Google, and certain experiences included being a passenger in a moving car and filming the runners while they were on their outing. The footage was also shot by the 70D and then taken into Adobe Premiere.
